13 Sep Exploring favourite places from the comfort of home
Whilst we’re not quite out of the woods yet, there’s much to discover in our own backyards that most of us haven’t had the opportunity to do before. It could be taking a virtual tour, learning a new language, perfecting a dish or perhaps dancing it out with the kids. There is so much to explore after the WFH day is over. We’ve put together ideas to transport you through to the new season ahead.
TO THE GARDEN
Bringing the fresh and fragrant to our own backyards, spring is the perfect time to exercise those green fingers. From planting flower pots and herbs to freshening the lawn, make September the month for a little gardening love. Planting seeds with the little ones could be fun, this month is great for herbs like Basil, Dill and Cress and for a happy pop of colour, then Cosmos and Marigolds are really pretty. You’ll find garden supplies to get you started from Coles.
THE GREAT ESCAPE
A good read can transport you anywhere and everywhere. Take your pick of magazines, page turners and everything in between. There are so many options and whatever your taste, there’s always something to dive into at Norwest News
THE LANGUAGE OF FOOD
From international travel shows to picking up a word or two with the Duolingo App, may we suggest an in-theme meal to get you in the mood Joey’s Pizza & Pasta, Katsu Japanese, Harmony Lakeside, Mad Mex, an American Subway or a delicious Indian from Maharaja’s Lakeside. And for the multi-taskers, add an online cocktail making class and help out hospo workers. You’ll find your favourite spirits and mixers from the local Liquorland.
